Good times, value for money, and flavorful wings at its best. No wonder a clamour for these yummy wings and chill out place is finally being heard! Wingman is opening 2 more branches in Newport near Marriott Hotel this July 19 and also in Acacia Lane in Taguig City.
With the overflow of people in Wingman at The Collective in Makati, I understood why 2 branches are on the way. It was a regular Thursday night.
I got to chow down on a variety of sumptuous wings at this sports bar and I literally ate until my plate could hold no more.
The menu was inviting too, with a variety of comfort food that was listed down.
A half dozen wings for only 200 bucks, it couldn’t get more inviting than that. No wonder why a lot of regulars go here to get their wings fix.
Next to their wings, I loved that they carried 1906. It’s probably the smoothest and best tasting beer I’ve ever tried. And it went with their menu too. If only a huge sporting event were on the tube, it would have been perfect, men would have been glued.
Now on to trying their wings which was served with ranch dressing, I couldn’t wait to rank my best!
I love peanuts but I’m not a fan of it being mixed with noodles and even wings. This is probably my least favourite. The flavor of peanuts stood out and if you’re really a fan of peanut tasting mixes, then this is the choice for you.
Next was Moroccan. It was an exotic blend of north African spices. I found it a bit spicy but flavourful. It was a bit exotic for my taste and it goes well for the adventurous type. It had a unique bite to it and it stood out too much for my conservative tastebuds and appetite.
A milder and sweeter flavor, that’s Honey Mustard. It was delicious and a safe choice for wings.
It couldn’t get more BBQ than this! It was sweet and smoky – just the way I want it. The wings were oozing with BBQ sauce and it really went well with the ranch dressing.
At some point I felt overwhelmed at the various flavours in my mouth. The carrot sticks were such a relief from that burst of creamy sauces.
Buffalo classic is obviously their bestseller. Its spiciness came in Medium, Hot, Apocalyptic and Pinaka. I had medium only since I didn’t want to upset my tummy. Medium wasn’t that flaming, it tasted like regular buffalo wings with just a hint of spice. It went perfect with the ranch dressing as well.
Lemon Pepper is to die for! It was saltier than expected but I loved it! It had a yummy mix of saltiness and sourness to it. It was the best combination for me, reminded me a lot of  manggang hilaw and bagoong. Lemon and pepper (and salt) was a taste I won’t forget and I imagine having a recurring craving for it. This is a definite must try at Wingman.
The owner, Erik Waldie was also really nice as to have conducted a quiz night which our team won. muwahahah. We each took home a 6 pack Tiger beer which is very popular in Singapore.
Wingman not only boasts of their delicious wings, but their juicy burgers and imported beers as well.
So if you pass by Malugay St. at the Collective in Makati, and later this July in Newport or Acacia, drop by Wingman for a sky high wingtastic experience. 🙂
