Now let me tell you the love story I had with this Kiss mug.
As I entered Caffe Bene, I never expected to see what would perk me up and get me puckering. I got too overwhelmed with the activities. The program was going on, people were busy chatting and appreciating the luxurious interiors of this relatively new Cafe in Eastwood Citywalk 2.
I myself too got caught up in appreciating the cozy chairs and interior.
Even the chairs were adorable and customized to Caffe Bene. I couldn’t help but snap away. It’s really nice to hang out here, it was cozy and comfy and it isn’t too crowded! The arrangement and spaces of the tables and chairs were well thought of too. So for those who like their privacy, i’d go for Caffe Bene.
We also got to sniff and identify the difference between medium roast coffee and dark roast coffee.
Dark Roast coffee has longer shelf life but has that quite burnt taste whereas Caffe Bene only serves medium roast which has to be fresh always, and thus served just right to the taste.
Soon after.. the cup of bittersweet kisses found a spot on our table.
Jed noticed it first. Then I couldn’t stop gushing about it. I instantly stole the first kiss! I mean. SIP.
Caffe Bene’s Americano could be drank without sugar or creamer. It was perfect just the way it was.
Liege waffles then arrived and I fell in love with the blueberry waffle.
I’m a sucker for granules and this waffle had that texture to it. It wasn’t the usual pancake mix and they import pearl sugar straight from Belgium.
Caramel Banana Cream was yummy too, but I personally liked Blueberry Cream Cheese better since there was a balance of flavors. It was sweet and sour at the same time and it had an interesting mix in my mouth.
Of course every bite had an accompanying sip. 🙂 It actually neutralizes the sweetness of the waffle.
We also had the Garlic and Cheese Honey Bread which is kind of like pizza except the thick crust is the star. Sliced into 9 square pieces, this can be shared by 2-3 persons, and it was actually filling.
As if the liege waffles weren’t dessert already, we also got to taste their dessert specialty. Bingsu, a Korean dessert could be compared to “Halo-Halo” dessert for us Filipinos. It was shaved ice with azuki red beans, strawberry preserves, and topped with ice cream and this Caffe Bene square chocolate.
I have such a sweet tooth and if I weren’t too full yet from the waffles and the Honey bread, I would have devoured this all by myself. Honestly.
But going back to the kiss mug which is shaped like human lips.
I wondered, could this ease the single hood gloom on Valentines day? Eh. Nevermind. =p
The night was finally over and I was kind of sad to depart from it so I took my last long sip.
I had a bene night, thank you.
And as for me and my kiss mug (Glad to own one of these, Thank you Caffe Bene!),
I don’t wanna (ever) miss this Kiss. 🙂
